"What is truth?" Pilate asked Jesus — and this 3.5" fragment of papyrus, dating to around 125 AD, is the oldest physical record of that moment ever discovered. Papyrus 52 (𝔓⁵²) is the earliest known New Testament manuscript in existence, holding John 18:31–38 on its front and back.
