Answers, Rooted in History

Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you're a collector, student, pastor, educator, or simply interested in the history of the Bible, we've answered many of the most common questions about our handcrafted manuscript replicas below.

General

Who makes these replicas?

Sacred Text Replicas is a small, Christian-owned family operation — not a factory. Michael researches and produces each piece by hand, Blanca runs the day-to-day so nothing falls through the cracks, and our son Noah (a student at Reformation Bible College) digs into the textual and historical research behind every manuscript we take on.

Authenticity & Accuracy

How historically accurate is each replica?

Before anything gets made, we research the manuscript's dating, provenance, and textual tradition — where it was found, what scholars know about it, and how it fits into the wider history of the text. Where we can, we work from public-domain and open-access institutional images rather than guesswork. We'd rather under-promise on a detail than dress up a manuscript's history to sound more dramatic than it is.

Materials & Production

What materials are the replicas made from?

It depends on the original. Papyrus manuscripts are reproduced on papyrus-style material; parchment texts like the Nash Papyrus use a parchment-style material instead — we match the medium, not just the image. Most pieces are then framed or set in an acrylic case ready to display. You'll find the specifics for each piece under “Manuscript Details” on its product page.

Historical Note

Papyrus was the primary writing material used throughout the ancient Mediterranean world before parchment gradually became the dominant writing surface.

Ordering & Shipping

How long does shipping take?

[Placeholder — tell us your real processing/shipping timeframes and we'll drop them in, e.g. “In-stock pieces ship within 2–3 business days; custom pieces take longer since each one is made after you order.”]

What's your return policy?

[Placeholder — tell us your actual returns/exchange terms and we'll write this properly; for now it points to your Returns and Cancellations policy page.]

Custom Orders

Do you take custom orders?

Often, yes. If there's a specific passage, manuscript, or occasion you have in mind — a wedding verse, a favorite passage for a pastor's retirement, a classroom set — reach out through our Custom Orders page and we'll let you know what's possible.

Do you work with churches, schools, or ministries?

[Placeholder — let us know if you offer bulk pricing or ministry discounts and how someone should ask for it.]

Care & Display

How do I care for and display my replica?

Treat it a little like you would the manuscript it's based on: out of direct sun, away from damp or humid rooms, and it'll hold its color and condition for years. Framed pieces arrive ready to hang — no extra hardware to hunt down.
