This carefully handcrafted replica reproduces P. Köln Theol. 37, a surviving leaf of Papyrus 967 (P967), one of the earliest and most significant Greek Septuagint manuscripts of the Old Testament.

Papyrus 967 is an early Greek Septuagint codex containing Ezekiel, Daniel, and Esther. This surviving leaf preserves the conclusion of the Story of Susanna: Daniel exposes the contradictory testimony of the two elders, and Susanna is vindicated.

Marking the conclusion of Daniel in this ancient codex, appears the large Greek subscription:
ΔΑΝΙΗΛ — “DANIEL. 
Peace to the one who wrote and to those who read. Amen”
Susanna remains part of Daniel in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles. Modern Protestant Bibles do not include Susanna within the Old Testament canon, but the original 1611 King James Bible included “The Story of Susanna” in its Apocrypha.
