Included Manuscripts in This Collection
Papyrus 47 (𝔓⁴⁷, Chester Beatty III) — Recto
Mid-3rd century
One of the most important early witnesses to the Book of Revelation. Part of the Chester Beatty Papyri from Egypt, this codex preserves extensive Greek uncial text.
This fragment includes the iconic verse concerning the number of the Beast:
“…Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
(Rev. 13:18, KJV)
Papyrus 115 (𝔓¹¹⁵, P.Oxy. 4499) — Recto
Early 3rd century
Famed for its variant reading of the Beast’s number as 616 (χιϛ), aligning with Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus—one of the most discussed textual variants in New Testament studies
“…Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and sixteen.”
(Rev. 13:18, KJV)
Papyrus 115 (𝔓¹¹⁵, P.Oxy. 4499) — Verso
Early 3rd century
Depicts the dramatic cosmic conflict and fall of Satan:
“…And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world…”
(Rev. 12:9, KJV)
Papyrus 24 (𝔓²⁴, P.Oxy. 1230) — Verso
Early to mid-3rd century
Captures the opening of the third seal and the appearance of the black horse:
“…And when he had opened the third seal… and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.”
(Rev. 6:5, KJV)
Papyrus 43 (𝔓⁴³) — Verso
6th–7th century
Likely an amulet or selected extract rather than part of a continuous codex. Preserves a vivid image of divine judgment:
“And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God… till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.”
(Rev. 15:8, KJV)
Craftsmanship & Display
Each replica is handcrafted on genuine Egyptian papyrus, chosen for its fibrous texture, natural translucency, and uneven surface—closely resembling ancient writing material. Authentic-looking lacunae (intentional gaps, wear, and losses) replicate how real manuscripts survive today. Hold them up to the light and watch the papyrus fibers glow through.
Naturally irregular edges — no straight cuts or modern shortcuts
Visible papyrus fiber strands and layered aging
Historically grounded ink texture and manuscript style
An informational insert sheet accompanies the set, explaining each fragment’s historical background, dating, and textual significance.
A Meaningful & Rare Gift
This collection makes a powerful and unforgettable gift for:
Pastors and church leaders
Bible students and seminary graduates
Professors, scholars, and educators
Collectors of early Christian history
Anyone deeply fascinated by the origins of Scripture
Perfect for display in a study, prayer room, church office, or home library—this set brings the ancient world of the New Testament vividly to life.
Handcrafted Authenticity Note
Each replica is produced in limited multiples and finished individually by hand. Because natural papyrus is used, minor variations in fiber pattern, tone, and ink absorption are expected and embraced as part of the authentic character of the piece.
Please Note:
This item is a modern replica, created for artistic, educational, and display purposes. It is not an ancient artifact. Due to the intentionally delicate, aged papyrus edges, gentle handling is recommended. When repositioning or reframing, tweezers are advised to protect the fibers—just as a scholar would handle an original manuscript.
