Digitally reproduced Greek text for perfect accuracy! Actual size Handcrafted on Egyptian papyrus with its unique texture and appearance— fibrous, translucent, and subtly uneven — this double-sided piece features: Precision-cut lacunae (authentic holes) and irregular edges that mimic 1,900 years of natural decay — no scissor-straight cuts like cheap imitations
- Visible papyrus fiber strands and textured aging for hyper-realistic antiquity
- Fragile, organic feel with faint ink bleed-through, just like the 2nd-century original
A stunning display piece for biblical scholars, collectors, or theologians. The closest you’ll get to holding history without touching the real thing in Manchester!
Please note: similar P52 replicas are available for sale. Because each piece is handmade using natural papyrus, there are minor variations between them. The photos show several examples and if you want the photo of thee exact, please message me and I will be happy to upload them.
Approximate size= 3.5" x 2.4" which corresponds to the actual P52 fragment.
Please Note
This item is a modern replica, created for artistic, educational, and display purposes. It is not an ancient artifact.
The fragments are lightly set within the display frame, allowing you to remove them if you’d like to examine them more closely or place them in a different frame. They aren’t permanently fixed, preserving the ability to handle and study them just as you would a real artifact. Because the papyrus edges are intentionally delicate from the aging process, repositioning may require a gentle touch. When moving them between frames, I usually use tweezers to keep the fibers safe.
